Power Developer Projects
Power Developer Projects is a developer resource for Genesi hardware and firmware solutions.

If you have an open- or closed-source project, Operating System port, exciting doctoral thesis or other interesting idea that would run and enhance Power Architecture platforms, either specifically for the hardare below or in general, Genesi may be able to provide hardware and support. Entry into the program is simple! Just enter your project idea/suggestion and on approval, along with the hardware, you will be provided with:

  • Developer blog for project tracking
  • Hosting for project file releases
  • Subversion and Git repositories (on request)

  • Efika 5200B
Based around the Efika 5200B product, this is a perfect place to develop your automotive, telematics or low-cost low-power embedded solutions.

    Efika 8610
The MPC8610's strength is its integration - the high-performance e600 core, built on Power Architecture™ technology, combined with the PowerQUICC® system-on-chip (SoC) platform and an LCD controller. With e600 core performance and integrated northbridge and southbridge functionality, this single chip will form the basis of a planned high-performance Efika platform addition.

Project Program submissions are now open.

    Efika 5121E

Freescale's MPC5121E provides a computing platform for both the automotive OEM and aftermarket vendors. The MPC5121e uses an e300 core built on Power Architecture™ technology and is ideal for any embedded solution that requires sophisticated displays, graphics acceleration, rich user interfaces and network connectivity. The MPC5121e multi-core processor offers competitive cost, quality, reliability and exceptional performance.

Project Program submissions are now open.

    Coldfire MCF54455
In 1994, The innovative ColdFire Microprocessor family was added to Freescale’s legacy 68K Family tree. The ColdFire variable-length RISC 68K family architecture delivers the aggressive price and performance required by the cost-sensitive embedded market. The ColdFire core was designed for scalability, allowing developers to migrate between performance levels without significant hardware or software development.

Project Program submissions are now open. Initial approvals will be limited to 20 systems.
